Description

Find out about the north-east part of Crete and explore the wilderness, flora, fauna, traditional villages and get interesting information’s about Crete and the local life.

Starting our day after you got picked up from your hotel, we drive to our first stop at the Milatos Cave. The entrance of the cave is about a 200-metre walk over an old footpath, which is quite a site itself with an amazing panoramic view of Milatos Bay, see a monument and discover the local legends. Followed by a tasting of local olive oil and honey.

Driving up the mountains towards the East side of the island we will visit the monastery of Xera Xyla. We will see goats in their environment and collect herbs. After a little stroll we continue our journey through mountains and the little village of Nofalia where the time has virtually stood still.

We make our way to Vlichadia which is on the north shores of the area of Mirabello. It is a small seaside settlement with a small rocky beach in front of the village, where we can cool off with a swim.

To enjoy the beautiful view a little longer we stop for a delicious traditional Lunch with unlimited wine (Vegetarian and Child options available) right next to the sea.
Refreshed we are going back onto the mountains towards Havgas Gorge where you get a helicopter view of the Leper island of Spinalonga before we drive slowly to our last stop in the traditionelle village of Fourni where you can try some Raki before we drive back to your hotel.
