Lassithi Plateau

The biggest plateau of Crete

A visit to the Lassithi Plateau on Crete.

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

We had our way up to the mountains where we will visit the Aposelemis Dam with Sfendili the sunken city. Next stop, Ruins of the roman aqueduct at Lyttos. Time to meet “The Local Shepherd  make and try some his famous Cretan cheeses with homemade Raki. Following our road to the Lassithi Plateau we arrive at the cave of Zeus where you have the opportunity to visit the cave, an entrance fee is charged. Time for lunch, traditional Cretan lunch is served in one the tavernas on the Lassithi Plateau with unlimited wine and water. After the lunch we visit the monastery of Vidiani. Last stop the village of Krasi with her natural spring and a 2000 year old plane-tree. We head back down the mountains to the hotel.

Walking – Hiking on the hidden of beaten paths of Crete.

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

We have a choice of 3 different gorges with a professional guide. The Gorge is chosen on weather conditions and the level of the group. We are heading to the starting point of our hiking tour where our informative guide is waiting for us. He will guide you through the of beaten paths of this wonderful journey. Enjoy the flora and fauna what Crete offers you. Maybe we will spot some vultures. After the hiking a delicious traditional Cretan lunch is served with unlimited wine and water. We head back to the hotel to relax and meet you back at dinner.

Good walking shoes is a must.

Rethymnon City

The small streets

The small streets of Rethymnon City

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

Our first stop of the day is the Cave of Sfendoni, one of Crete’s most beautiful caves.

Next: Rethymnon city where you have some free time to wonder to the small streets of Rethymnon and enjoy a coffee or a drink  on the many coffee places Rethymnon offers.

The Monastery of Arkadi is our next destination that  dates back to the 16th century and is marked by the influence of the Renaissance. The monastery played an active role in the Cretan resistance of Ottoman rule during the Cretan revolt of 1866.

We follow our road to the Gorge of Agios Adonis to walk around and visit the famous church within the cave. We sit down at one of the tavern’s for a traditional Cretan lunch with unlimited wine and water.

Our last stop of the day is the village of Spili, famous about there lion heads fountain and time for a coffee before heading back to the hotel.

Psiloritis the highest mountain of Crete

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

We had our way to Heraklion where we can see the Psiloritis mountain already with her white tops covered with snow. We stop in a small village and will learn to make cheese pies, and time for a coffee. We follow our road to the highest mountain of Crete and will stop until we reach snow, with great view point for pictures. Time to visit the Cave where the God of all gods used to live. Cretan lunch is served at the traditional village of Anogia

Olive Tour

The olive tour.

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

The winter jobs for the Greek people has begun. It is time for olive picking. We will join them for olive picking in the morning and have a traditional lunch within the olive yards When the sacks have been filled with the picked olives we are bringing them to the Olive Oil Factory where we come back in the evening to see the process of Olive Oil making.

Dinner is served at the Olive Oil Factory where we will try the fresh olive oil and other olive products. This all comes with a traditional dinner with unlimited wine and water

Knossos Palace

Culture, Shopping and wine

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

We head our way to Heraklion and visit the Minoan Palace of Knossos. The oldest palace in Europe. Time for shopping, we visit the Gipsy market in Heraklion where you have time to look around for some bargains.

Our next stop is the center of Heraklion where we will try the local Cretan street foods for our lunch. You have free time to visit the shops or sit at one of the many coffee places Heraklion offers.

Wine tasting is our next stop, where we will try 7 different wines.

Agios Nikolaos

Elounda, Plaka. Kritsa and more

The Mirabello Bay

The day starts with breakfast in the hotel.

The Cave of Milatos is the first point we heading to. The picturesque village of Plaka with amazing views on Spinalonga the Leper Island. Following the road with the sea next to us we arrive in Elounda, famous about “Who pays the ferryman” television serial of the 70’s. The small port of Elounda will give you great pictures for home with many small fishing boats,

Next stop: Olous, where we still can see the remainings of the city in the sea. Olous was one of the approximately one hundred cities, which existed in Crete already in the Minoan age from approximately 3,000 to 900 BC.

Agios Nikolaos, time for lunch and you have free time to walk arround in Agios Nikolas or drink a coffee.

Our last stop of the day is Kritsa where we will try the local Raki
